What I am Listening to

First dated: April 2020

I hate to be that chick who is forever like “music is my life”, but it kind of is. Like the rest of the world, I listen to music almost everyday and everywhere I go. Also like the rest of the world, a great deal of my identity is wrapped up in the music that I listen to.

In this blog I talk a lot about coolness, and my pursuit of being cool, which up until (horrifyingly) recently, seemed like a form of currency to me. Since I was a kid, music seemed to be the avenue to this above anything else. I recently found a journal from elementary school where I go on and on about how I want to be a music critic when I grow up. Music has, and probably always will be, by thing. It is the key to understanding who I am, and how I have curated my personal image.

With all of that said, the point of this post was really just to share my current Spotify ‘On Repeat’ list and create a bit of a time capsule. The especially interesting thing about this playlist is that it is not made by me, but made by the analytics of the music I listen to. This means I cannot edit it, and it is a completely honest count of my current ‘on repeat’ music. Very cool.
