The First Post

“I’m going to start writing…no seriously.”

I have said this to myself what feels like a million times. What if writing is my passion and I’ve just never fully committed myself to it? I could be like the kid in the movie Almost Famous, if only I went to more shows and was outgoing and cool. That must be how you become a writer, it is a talent that’s just somehow born into you. It took me until 24 to realize that you become a writer by just writing. I’ve always lacked the self confidence to put pen to paper and publish my thoughts. So that’s what I’m going to do. Just write. No matter how poor the writing might be.

Welcome to my experiment. Start a blog, hone my personal voice, and eventually become the next William Miller or I guess Cameron Crowe. Starting a blog must be the same thing as writing for Rolling Stone.

This is going to be a pure shit show and that is the way I would like to keep it. The content will be a little lifestyle, some cocktail recipes, book reviews, and general musings. There might be things I am obsessed with this week, or am embarrassed to be obsessed with.

I will hopefully post weekly on here, with any type of post, long or short.
